A Thought on the U.S. Constitution

The phrase “shall not be infringed” is used only once in the entire U.S. Constititon and its amendments. There’s probably a reason for this.

The second amendment states, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

Moreover, the meaning of “shall not be infringed” is quite clear.

A room full of loaded guns don’t shoot each other. Forks don’t make you fat and pencils don’t make mistakes. Oh, and there is no such thing as an “assault” weapon. People kill people and we need to blame people and their behavior, not inanimate objects.
